About c-icap

c-icap is an implementation of an ICAP server. It can be used with HTTP proxies that support the ICAP protocol such as the Squid 3.x HTTP proxy server to implement content adaptation/filtering services.

I started working on this project at the beginning of 2004. I released the code at sourceforge.net in November 2004. During this period, big delays of a project that I was involved in allowed me to find time for starting the c-icap project. Since then, many new features have been implemented.

The main goal of the c-icap server is to provide a very fast content adaptation system which is able to support big installations.

If you would like to learn more about the c-icap project, you can visit its Web page at sourceforge.net.
